Lloyd and Lorna Edwards moved from Ipswich to the Gold Coast for a sea change in 1972. There they raised their three children in Sophie Avenue, Broadbeach Waters. Lloyd continued his electrical business here from Ipswich to support the family which was called Edwards Electrics.
After leaving Southport High School, Dave worked with Lloyd as an apprentice where he learned many important skills in the domestic electrical field. They continued to work, father and son servicing the residents of the Gold Coast for many years. Lloyd retired and Dave inherited the business & continued with the same ethics and workmanship taught to him by his dad, in looking after return clients as well as new ones.
Dave’s son Kyle didn’t follow in the tradition as an electrician at first but followed a different path in Information Technology (IT). Seven years later, Kyle wanted a change in his career and started working with his father Dave as an apprentice. The Business was then re-named Gold Coast Sparkys. They now work together Dad & Son just as Dave had with his father Lloyd, under a new name, but with the same old school service & work ethic.
We now both look after our clients new and old with the same good ethics, customer relations & quality workmanship. We look forward to working with you!
